The first step into the underneath...

A lot of , if not all of these images are taken of the ground, I'm one of those people that's constantly looking at the pavement when I walk and so whilst your on this virtual stroll it might be good to imagine that you're traveling with your eyes pinned to the ground.

These images were all taken on a walk around Sheffield City centre and as a collection of images, these are the only ones that were sourced on one occasion. Within my work I'm often interested in exploring the implementation of the personal within public space. So how people who exist, work and form our public environments also leave traces of themselves. This can be through the implementation of personal taste within design or in this case creative solutions to manhole and paving arrangements.
